PepperJax Grill in Lee's Summit

Ordered ahead online and received notification it was ready. Drove 15 minutes just to be told upon arrival they “put a hold” on my food order because they were so busy and that it would be about an hour...

Been waiting for them to open back up, ordered today through Doordash and was just disappointed. Since the food is served in cardboard, and then put in plastic bag tied up, they sweat and so the boxes were wet. Fries soggy, bread was really tough. Not sure if that was the steam or maybe product was not fresh. Also, 1/4 of sandwich had nothing on it. It's tough right now I know....suggest maybe not closing the plastic bag so the steam can escape.

Good for vegans and vegetarians, and I am GF and can get rice bowls without sauces or cheese sauce. Always tasty, and they have Dorthy Lynch salad dressing.

It was an okay philly steak. All 3 workers seemed very miserable. Restaurant was dirty and we were the only ones in the place. They didnt seem to care it was dirty. The minute someone would order their food then leave the workers would go to the back of the kitchen through the door to hangout. Maybe next time it will be better.

Every time I go here the customer service is excellent. Ray, the grill master, for example, is always smiling and very friendly. The food is always good too. Thanks pepperjax staff!

The staff was nice but the food was a 4 out if 10 the chicken was very dry...the order of fries I got was not worth the cost . The place was clean but it was cold in dining room

Just like Charley's. Grilled steakum sandwich. BBQ theme with several sauces. I will eat here again. Oh...and the bathroom was very clean.

Steak sandwich was done to order with a lot of meat. Best to ask that sub be cut in half. Good with onions and peppers. Also "fireball". Chips with pepper jack cheese is good side. There is choice of sauses including aus juice..

Delicious! The guy working was so helpful and patient on my first ever visit to this restaurant. I will definitely be back to try more things. Love the peanut butter bars too!

Best cheesesteak in KC

The food was incredibly bland and flavorless. I liked the idea of them sauteing the protein option with the veggies when you order but it wad not executed properly and the veggies were still raw. And unless you want to add more of the same raw veggies or 3 kinds of sour cream sauce, you quickly run out of options for your "4 toppings". On their complimentary sauce and gravy station, the mushroom gravy was completely crusted over, like it hadn't been stirred once since they opened. The quantity of food for the price is the only reason I could find to give a second star.

The food is great but the service needs improvement. Employees want to hurry everyone along even if there is no line. They are not patient. Example, my wife took a group of 11 Brazilian friends there. Most of them did not speak English. We suggested Pepper Jax because, hey Philly Cheese Steak, is a cultural experience. Unfortunately the staff did not show any patience with our friends, even though the line was not long and my wife told them they don't speak English well and to please slow down when they speak. They basically ignored her. The food was good, as normal, but our friends' memory of the place is how rude the staff was.

Tables were covered in trash but staff (not one wore a mask ever) would gather in the rear of the store in between orders. I actually saw a customer bus the tables to provide a clean eating environment.

Was supposed to be curb side pickup. Instead I had to walk in side, sort out what meal was mine, with no assistance from employees. Also noticed the woman making the food was not wearing a mask.

Great place to eat. Workers were very nice and friendly. Food was fresh and delicious. Prices are reasonable. Had enough food for 2 meals.

Fast chain store Phillies great wraps and rice bowls too

We were headed to Chipotle, but the line was out the door, so we came here. It's a pretty good option, cooked fresh to order but fast. Not the healthiest options, but the bowls and salads could be somewhat healthy if you order right. It was a little slow because they only had 2 people working. It was good that they weren't busy, but I wonder why when other places around were packed.

Not bad. I'm not a huge fast food person, but this place tastes good and is reasonably priced. There is generally a bit of a wait in line, but I've never been disappointed and they take NFC payment options.

Service and food was outstanding.

Girls are not friendly and acted like customers were a bother. I’ve heard good things about the food here, as a first time comer I was excited to be welcomed but they all just looked dead inside

Love this place but the last few visits the meat has been incredibly salty but still really tasty.

These sandwiches never disappoint! Don't be afraid to get it with onions, peppers and mushrooms. And of course the cheese...But more important, add some jalapenos!! You will love it!!

This is a great place to get philly cheesesteak sandwiches at. They also have a variety of meats, and if you don't want a sandwich they have bowls, loaded nachos, salads, burritos, or loaded fries.

Absolutely AWFUL! Drugs are obviously an issue with the workers. Chewing air and scratching sores in front of customers is a big no no. When our order was wrong they got mad and stormed around. There were two others that came in after us and just left because of the employees. Disappointed all around...

Very dirty. Only customers in the restaurant and almost couldn't find a place to sit because every table was dirty. Stayed that way the entire 30 minutes we were there. No customers coming in and employees not cleaning.

Good if you are in the mood

Normally the food here is wonderful and it still is. Unfortunately someone put seasoned salt on my fries and I like to eat them plain. It was close to closing, so I took them with me unfortunately almost had a headache from eating the fries with so much salt on it. Not going to slam them because they are generally a pretty good operation and the food is very good. We'll just say this is a one-time situation that hopefully will be rectified next time.

Best fast food cheese steak you'll ever have

Can't go wrong with a Philly IMO, no doubt this is the midwest bit Pepperjax know what they're doing.

One of the best cheese steak sandwiches in the area. Meat is cooked fresh when you order. The fries had been cooked fresh also but came out soggy. If the fires had been crispy then it would have made this a 5 star review.

Best philly in Kansas City. Food is always consistent and fries are always made fresh with amazing seasoning... may actually have one of the best fries in Kansas City as well. One of my favorite places in lees summit and I come regularly. Two thumbs up

Ok so they definitely need to have someone dust above the outside of the food prep area. Just offputting to see that while waiting in line or eating. Truthfully I would likely have skipped the resturant ans meal if seeing it prior to ordering/eating. Aside from that the meal was good. Food was served quickly. They have some neat photos all around the place. Decent price as well. Service was good

Staff will clean the grill for you if you're ordwring vegetarian or vegan. Rice bowl is my favorite. Leftovers reheat well.

Too cold inside to enjoy my meal.

Ordered loaded fries with pulled pork. Very tasty and filling! Plus you can select from many toppings to go on top. I suggest asking for their pepper seasoning when they cook the meat, gives it a nice spicy but not hot flavor.

Nice people, fresh food. I've been several times now but I just haven't found anything that's to my liking yet. I'd definitely give it a try and see what you think. I just prefer different Mexican, and I am not a big philly guy.
